Hey guys,
First of all I would like to apologise for the lack of updates. My life has been Hectic the past couple of months and I really didn't feel like updating the site. Ignoring Hedlund-Daily.com is no good and I'm very sorry. I promise to be online more in the future.
Anyway, time for the good news.
Just a few days ago I was contacted by the lovely Tanja from Garrett-Hedlund.de, with the question if I wanted to join the team and start working on something for all you Garrett fans. The idea was brilliant and I immediately said "yes."
So here it goes, a message to all of you:
I bet this news will excite everyone of you, because there is a big idea for the Hedlund-Imperium! ;)
The News: Four great and big Garrett Hedlund Websites (Garrett-Hedlund.de, Hedlund-Daily.com, MrHedlund.com & last but not least Hedlund-Italy.com) combined to a new idea:
A Garrett Hedlund Network and Directory!
Maybe you're asking yourself: Network and Directory? What is that?
After a lot of discussions, suggestions and ideas we had the idea to make a directory, a portal for every Garrett Fan with (hopefully soon) every Garrett-related website & Community on it! Every fan will see which different sites, boards and communitys are on the internet and everyone can choose, where to go!
The sense of this project is to inform everyone there are different websites about our beloved Actor: german, italian, dutch and other languages sites. This way everyone can see what they maybe haven't found on google or other search engines.
Every other board, site or anything else what is Garrett related can join this directory and we hope, to get a great and really big project!
We also had another idea, which often was discussed between the webmisses and webmasters: Each of us four has a seperate gallery and every gallery is special in it's own way - We will make it better: We had the idea to combine all galleries into ONE BIG GALLERY!
Each of us will do their best to make this the greatest Garrett picture source ever seen on the world wide web!
Plus you haven't got to register in four or five gallerys anymore! Register just one time and you'll see all pictures of Garrett in this big Gallery.
The start of the directory will be within the next 1 or 2 weeks, also the gallery! We'll do our best to take it online as soon as possible and we hope, you'll enjoy the new idea we had.
And by the way: Every website will stay the same and you'll reach them in the familiar way. The Directory just gives you an oversight about everything else what is Garrett Hedlund Related! :)
The new website url will be announced, if all things are ready to go! :)

Like most of you know there has been a Garrett Picture War going on the past few years, ever since new sites like MrHedlund.com and Hedlund-Italy were online, which is only normal and I have seen on several other fansites (non Garrett related) as well.
I admit I was jealous of people like Tini for having exclusive photos and for being mentioned in USA Weekend, while Hedlund-Daily has been online for 2 years. But now I realise I was stupid for ever believing she wanted to hurt other fans, while all she wanted to do was create a good source and support the man that is most important in our life's: Garrett.
Not too long ago the Picture War seemed to have ended, but emotions were stirred up again when Richard Wright's photos hit the surface. Tini and Tanja then decided to end this thing once and for all and they came up with this idea.
This new gallery will prevent jealousy and fights over photos, and the best thing is you can all join and share your photos with us.
We are currently working on creating the gallery and uploading all our photos. And let me tell you one thing: the layouts are magnificent! I can't wait for it to be up.
As for now, again, sorry for the lack of updates and hopefully we will see you over at the new gallery when the URLs are up!
PS: I am currently also working on a new layout for this site and hopefully I will have it up soon. Also watch out for a new layout for the old gallery over here at Hedlund Daily, which will still be there once the new gallery is up. Old habits don't die. Lol. And I'm also thinking about changing a few things here, with new sections and hopefully I find the time and idea to create new fan stuff. It's been a while.

Celebrating 2 Years Online!

I can't believe it's been 2 years already! Time went by so fast, we've been through so much. So many updates, so many photos, so many visitors, so many new things on Garrett.
I remember the day I started, which was on Garrett's 21st birthday. It was on Geocities at first and then I realised how badly I wanted a domain, so I bought one and 24 months, 3 movies, 5 haircuts and 90,000 hits later, Garrett Hedlund Daily is still online and better than ever!
I want to say "Thank You" to everyone who ever visited, left comments, joined the gallery or forum, signed the guestbook, took part in the polls, fancenter and survey, and above all - enjoyed this site.
The end is nowhere in sight, and I will continue working on this site until I feel no more interest. I know it's not what it used to be, coming to the updates part, but I hope to make things better and to improve the design and fansection.
Keep on visiting and keep on supporting Garrett!
